On Monday 13 June 2016, Dispatcher attended the “Bouygues Construction Purchasing Innovation Meeting”.
The Purchasing Innovation Meeting in brief:
- 400 attendees, including 250 representatives of the Group’s main supplier and subcontractor partners.
- Discussions between partners and the management of Bouygues Construction.
- Presentation of projects by speakers.
Franck Le Guillou, Purchasing Director at Bouygues Construction, summed up the purpose of this meeting very well:
“This meeting was an opportunity to reaffirm to our supplier and subcontractor partners that we wish to develop a long-term relationship based on collaborative innovation and shared value creation. Our ambition is to work with them to accelerate the search for innovation and our international deployment, so that we may continue to offer our customers the most competitive, innovative, and sustainable solutions“.
In terms of Open Innovation, Roland Le Roux is keen to establish a “co-innovation” approach:
“We are in an increasingly complex and connected sector, and our markets are undergoing rapid transformation. Every company must reinvent itself, adapt, and anticipate these changes. Expertise and know-how are increasingly complex and varied. Companies no longer seek to innovate alone (e.g. Apple with its suppliers).
It is becoming essential to innovate together, in order to bring to market the various innovations required for real business impact and significant value creation.”
This meeting was an opportunity to present Dispatcher to the entire Bouygues Construction group as well as their suppliers and partners. This allowed us to discuss the need for large groups and small structures to work together.
We would like to thank Bouygues Construction and Roland Le Roux for inviting us to this event.
